True crime: ‘Wild, wild country’ docuseries

Right at the beginning of my week of leisure, I watched a fascinating true crime documentary that I want to share with you! The new Netflix original docuseries, Wild Wild Country is a must see for true crime fans (like myself).

I was not prepared for what this book offered. Let me state bluntly that the comparisons to The Girl on the Train are wrong and misleading. Behind Closed Doors lacks the nuance, storytelling, and humanity that The Girl on the Train possesses.

A bluestocking is defined by Merriam-Webster as "a woman having intellectual or literary interests." It is a (now historic) term that began in the 18th-century to degrade a group of women who met to discuss ideas and scholarly subjects. I first encountered the bluestocking term while reading romance novels.
